PENDLETON — Sometimes beauty is in the sweeping design of a home and at other times the impressive details steal your attention.
Bob and Vicky Post are in the process of restoring a historic home in downtown Pendleton with a consideration to detail that is striking.
“Eight years ago he said this would be a 20-year project,” said Vicky with a laugh. “And he still says it is a 20-year project.”
Actually his intentions run longer than those eight years. Bob bought the house in 1977, but other projects and business opportunities kept nosing their way between him and his home. After marrying Vicky, the home began to take priority.
“Behind every good man is a driving force,” he said with a smile.
Owning Bob’s Antique Shop since 1991 has provided an excellent way to snag the perfect furnishings and lighting fixtures that add the proper character to the 1900 home. Being a history buff and working extensively on restoring other historic homes through his business, I Custom, Bob knows exactly what needs to be done and how to do it.
