Supremacist’s Indiana home searched

WARSAW, Ind. — Federal agents have searched the northern Indiana home of an active white supremacist.

Agents from U.S. Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives went to the Warsaw home of Thomas Metzger with a search warrant on Thursday. Special Agent Kim Riddell says the search was carried out without incident or any arrests, but declined to comment about the investigation.

The Journal Gazette of Fort Wayne reports Metzger is the founder of the White Aryan Resistance group and manages its Web site, which includes praise of James Von Brunn, who is accused of killing a guard at U.S. Holocaust Memorial Museum this month.

A recorded message left on a hotline Metzger maintains says he didn’t know why anyone would want to search his home and that he was a peaceful person.
