MITCHELL, S.D. — A 20-year-old man accused in the killing of a South Dakota teenager has been ordered held without bail.

Alexander Salgado, who recently moved to South Dakota from Fort Wayne, Ind., appeared in court Friday on a first-degree murder charge.

Salgado and a 15-year-old girl, whose name hasn't been released because of her age, are accused of murdering 16-year-old Jasmine Guevara. She went missing this week from her home in Mitchell, which is about 70 miles west of Sioux Falls.

Authorities found a body in a burned-out car outside Mitchell believed to be Guevara's. Autopsy results are pending.

Court documents say the pair lured Guevara because the 15-year-old girl was jealous over Guevara's friendship with Salgado.
